ReviewsShow

  • This is the best book for psychiatric residents or clinicians doing psychiatric consults or inpatient work to carry. It covers an immense amount of material.  The chapters are stripped down to the most important, relevant points of almost every topic in psychiatry. The format takes some getting used to, as the typeface is small and the material is presented in a shorthand, abbreviated way. I would recommend it to any mental health professional who wants a quick, portable reference for evaluating and treating most psychiatric illnesses and disorders.

  • Best resource book available!  Not only tells meds/dosages/side effects/etc.  Also, goes into mental status exam, DSM criteria, questions to ask certain patients when determining diagnoses.  Awesome!
